Before we know it July will be on our doorstep! It is just around the corner and brings with it the world’s most watched cycling race, Eurobike and a few other big items on the cycling calendar. We have a lot to look forward to!
The Tour de France
Do we need to say much more? A race filled with tradition and a platform for the world’s best to fight it out for GC honours. The first grand tour of 2018, the Giro d’italia, set the bar high and has left the entire cycling world on the edge of their seats with anticipation to see what The Tour will deliver!
The Tour de France is the world’s most watched cycling race and continued to set new viewership records during the 2017 television coverage, 7.3 million viewers watched the final stage ending on the iconic Champs-Élysées.
The scale of this race continues to grow globally as the sport of cycling starts to have an impact on more people’s lives around the world, the bicycle really is a wonderful thing. For those who are interested in numbers, here are a couple from last years Tour de France.
The 2018 edition of the Tour de France promises to be a cracker! The list of favourites for the GC is up for debate and the cobbles could throw a spanner in the works…a few of the favourites even opted to race some of the smaller spring cobble classics in preparation!

Eurobike, the world’s largest bike fare?
With the Tour de France kicking off on the 7th of July and Eurobike starting on the 8th…it sure is going to be two HECTIC days for cycling journalists around the globe!
